A.J. doesn't have any interest in drawing or any kind of crafts. As much as I push him almost everyday he is losing interest in 30 seconds. Oh well, I guess he is just like me, I don't have scrapbooks and I don't have the patience to do it. "What a mess" by A.J.

Birthday boy!
A.J. turned 2 last Saturday.
We had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa B and Aunt Dari. Thank you so much for coming!
It was a weekend of fun with our family and celebrating A.J.'s B-day! We started the night before by watching 1.5 million bats coming out for the night from under one of Austin's bridges. The B-day day began with opening presents and a B-day cake for breakfast (don't judge me, please:) Then we went to the nearby Cave and A.J. rubbed a stone for a good luck.
We managed to eat at Red Robin as part of the tradition and on the next day we had a barbecue by the pool.
Now I'm ready for the terrible 2 to officially begin or if we are lucky if they will never come. Has that ever happened?
Also, that weekend was double special because it was Mother's Day and we had a chance to celebrate it with Grandma B.
More pictures from the B-day here.

A.J.'s Many Faces
A.J. doesn't know as much words as his dad thinks he has to know by now. He is talking a lot, mostly baby gibberish (which by the way is hilarious) but his facial expressions are priceless. Here are a few we want to share:

Bedtime story
A.J. loves books. He loves to play with them, to flip through the pages or just look at the pictures(if any). A few weeks ago Hans took him to the local library for a class on how to teach your child to read. I was skeptical how a one year old can read, but actually they share some techniques to teach young children to be familiar and to love books, even if they can't read now. So every night before bedtime we try to "read" with A.J. More precisely, he reads to us.

New addition to our family
We have a new addition to our family and his name is Guitar Hero.
The other day we went grocery shopping and on the way to the store we stopped by Circuit City. They are going out of business and have very good deals. Probably it wasn't the best time to buy it but we couldn't resist. I always wanted to learn how to play a guitar and probably this would be the closest I will get.
Guitar Hero, we have only had you for a few days but all of us love you so much....especially AJ.
