A.J. loves books. He loves to play with them, to flip through the pages or just look at the pictures(if any). A few weeks ago Hans took him to the local library for a class on how to teach your child to read. I was skeptical how a one year old can read, but actually they share some techniques to teach young children to be familiar and to love books, even if they can't read now. So every night before bedtime we try to "read" with A.J. More precisely, he reads to us.

New addition to our family
We have a new addition to our family and his name is Guitar Hero.
The other day we went grocery shopping and on the way to the store we stopped by Circuit City. They are going out of business and have very good deals. Probably it wasn't the best time to buy it but we couldn't resist. I always wanted to learn how to play a guitar and probably this would be the closest I will get.
Guitar Hero, we have only had you for a few days but all of us love you so much....especially AJ.

Happy New Year!
Hi, Everyone!
Sorry for not posting for a while.
Probably most of you know that Hans got a new job and on January 2nd we moved to Austin, Texas. That's right! During my favorite holidays I spent not in the kitchen baking goodies, but packing like crazy. Also in December, we visited Grandma and Grandpa B and family in WA (thank you Karl for the free tickets) and we went on 48h trip to San Diego. And if this is not crazy enough we had my sister and dad for Christmas. Actually my dad is still visiting from Bulgaria. Lucky guy. Finally decided to come and visit and he had to help us move and ride in the truck with Hans for 16 hours of beautiful downtown El Paso and West Texas.
We are still unpacking and try to fit all of our stuff in an apartment half of the size of our house. I haven't seen anything from the city yet, but everyone here is obsessed with Austin, so I guess there is a lot of fun stuff to do (at least a lot of shopping malls and outlets, a LOT:) It's true but I'm more excited about the Annual Film and Music Festivals here than anything else.

In the spirit of the election season, A.J. has finally decided who he will endorse.
After much study and research of the issues, A.J. has decided to endorse Joe "The Plumber".

B-day tagging;)
I got tagged again and this time I'm going to use the opportunity to make Hans uncomfortable:) He had a B-day a few weeks ago and he was hard again for presents, even didn't want a b-day cake just cinnamon buns (with a candle:(). So we had a " Star Wars" theme b-day, all of us wore a SW t-shirt and I promised Hans that I'll watch all the movies with him (never watched all of them). So because of the pretty lame day, I'll answer the questions for Hans and we will see if I really know my husband ;)

Phoenix Botanical Gardens
I was supposed to write this post a few weeks ago when my sister was here and we went to visit the Botanical Gardens.
There is not a lot you can do in the summer in Arizona, we were pretty bored after 5 days of shopping so we decided to go and see the famous garden. It was very nice with a lot of cactuses and other fauna. There were some other attractions too but everything was out of season.
We arived at 11 am and it was already 106 F (41-42C) and there was almost no one there. We were brave so we walked around for an hour but had to leave before all of us got heat strocks. AJ was quiet in his stoller and just turned red.
Hans and I are going back to the garden for a wedding in few weeks, so hopefully we will see more.
