Easter fun!

I can't believe that Easter was this past weekend. It's so early this year. The Orthodox Easter is in a month. Anyway...On Saturday we had a barbeque with Rene and Andrew and their family. We had a great time and it is always good to catch up with friends. The Easter bunny came and hid some eggs. The kids had a blast even A.J. got one egg. Later a little boy came and grabbed the egg from A.J.'s hand...A.J. just looked at him and start playing with something else. My big boy!There was a jar with chocolate malts and we had to guess how many there are in the jar. I won- guessed 95, there were 93! Why I had to guess right, now our diet went down hill.Last week Hans was on a business trip to New Jersey. We are so happy that he is home again.

Gated community!

For the last few weeks we have gated our home. A.J. started to open all the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen. He is going up the stairs so fast that sometimes he is almost half way up before I see him. He is pulling the curtains and he unplugs the floor lamp and then he is eating the cable, wants to get into the dishwasher.

A.J. is so active I can't keep up with him, so we found these very basic gates that don't need to be screwed to the wall and we put them up last week. Now Hans and I have fun getting to our kitchen, to the office or the stairs. We have to go over the gates and jump. A.J. doesn't like the gates either, he is crying and he is very frustrated every time when he sees us on the other side of the gate. Hopefully soon he will find something else that is more fun than going into our cabinets and stairs.

Help Africa!

I don't really know what to do and who to call to make life little bit better for the kids in Africa. I want so bad to adopt at least a few of them. Today Hans and I were actually looking for the adoption requirements for Uganda, but it is not possible at the moment (need to live in Uganda for three years).

The only thing (and I know it is not the best option) is to support one of Bono's (U2 front man) projects for Africa. He and U2 are very involved and for years are trying to raise money and help with poverty in Africa.ONE is Americans of all beliefs and every walk of life - united as ONE - to help make poverty history. It is a campaign of over 2.4 million people, in all 50 states, over 100 of America's most well-known and respected non-profit, advocacy and humanitarian organizations. ONE is raising public awareness about the issues of global poverty, hunger, disease and efforts to fight such problems in the world's poorest countries.GAP PRODUCT(RED) is about helping you make a difference in Africa. Half of the profits from your purchases support the Global fund's fights against HIV/AIDS in Africa.EDUN is a for-profit business founded on the premise of trade, not aid as a means of building sustainable communities. EDUN is currently produced in India, Peru, Tunisia, Kenya, Uganda, Lesotho, Mauritius and Madagascar.

Children in Africa!

My mother and father in law and two of my sisters in law are in Uganda for 2 weeks. Today they visited an Orphanage there. The kids don't have any diapers, toys or real food. I can't stop thinking about these kids and I wish I could help them.

Last Saturday was Mother's Day in Bulgaria. Hans got me this beautiful flowers. I didn't expect it, it was a wonderful surprise! Thanks so much!

I would pay off our school loans, buy a(nother) house, adopt 5-6 children, help out the orphanages in Bulgaria and travel the world with my family.
