You know you lost it when...

1. you have been neglecting your blog for so long that you forgot the password to sign in.

2. you forgot to check the oven before you turned it on so a plastic spoon caught on fire and you ended up with apartment full of smoke and a very scared child.

3. you can't catch up with laundry and you wear a dressy shirt, Adidas shorts and striped knee high socks.

4. you are behind with Holiday Baking and you offer a second night in a row Christmas cookies for dinner.

5. your home is so messy that even your very patient and wonderful husband made a comment that we need to clean.

6. half of your Christmas decoration is still in boxes even you started to decorate Thanksgiving weekend.

7. you finally decided to fix all this mess but you end up with sore throat and runny nose.

On the bright site we had a wonderful visit from grandma and grandpa B. a week before. We had so much fun and we miss them and the rest of the family very much.

Last weekend we took A.J. to the park to take holiday pictures.

New Pictures of A.J.

Last week A.J. went to a birthday party and we took a few pix. We'll post some more from the last few weeks as well. Some of these go back to May during A.J.'s birthday.

His love of frosting rivals his grandmother's love of Costco cake.

Little Photographer and Children's Day

A.J. doesn't have any interest in drawing or any kind of crafts. As much as I push him almost everyday he is losing interest in 30 seconds. Oh well, I guess he is just like me, I don't have scrapbooks and I don't have the patience to do it.

Anyways, I try to take a lot of pictures of him, he is just changing so fast, so I try not to fail at least in that department.

Well, every attempt to photograph him is ending with A.J. stealing the camera from me and taking many pictures as fast as he can before I get the camera back.

In the beginning, I used to erase them but last week I forgot and I uploaded them on the computer. I was surprise because some of them are pretty good and artistic for a 2 yo or I'm just crazy proud mom.

Also yesterday (June 1st) was Children's Day in Bulgaria and in most of the old communist countries. To celebrate we did some drawing with chalk (it's well accepted at the moment), went for an ice cream and got a new book (Olivia) at B&N where A.J. played with Thomas the train set.

Birthday boy!

A.J. turned 2 last Saturday.

We had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa B and Aunt Dari. Thank you so much for coming!

It was a weekend of fun with our family and celebrating A.J.'s B-day! We started the night before by watching 1.5 million bats coming out for the night from under one of Austin's bridges. The B-day day began with opening presents and a B-day cake for breakfast (don't judge me, please:) Then we went to the nearby Cave and A.J. rubbed a stone for a good luck.

We managed to eat at Red Robin as part of the tradition and on the next day we had a barbecue by the pool.

Now I'm ready for the terrible 2 to officially begin or if we are lucky if they will never come. Has that ever happened?

Also, that weekend was double special because it was Mother's Day and we had a chance to celebrate it with Grandma B.

More pictures from the B-day here.
